Sugar Creek Library Story Time & Violin Demo August 2017
We started the morning off with a "Hello Song" with puppets.... mainly for the younger ones! As you can see above, the older students thought this was a little silly.
Demonstrations on violin as well as story time pictures! Many bow holds were made! A few got to practice rest and playing position.
The Suzuki approach is a great way to get started on the violin. It is meant to develop a person of any age or ability. Age 3 is the typical age to start, but it is never too late for anyone to learn to play the violin.
Learning the violin is a perk of the Suzuki method, but learning skills like discipline, listening, taking instruction, perseverance and hard work are many of the qualities a Suzuki student will always have.
Brookdale Retirement Home, 2015
We had a great time playing for the Brookdale Retirement home. The students brought light to a dim place! Below is a picture of us all playing together! We tied colorful ribbons on our bows!
The residents seem to be enjoying our concert ~
The ribbon came loose....!
Playing all of our twinkles!
Thank you parents for the pictures!!
